Short Synopsis
Feifei wins an internship in Paris with top design legend Jean-Pierre Drevon, a vicious genius of talent, who puts her through absolute hell in the process. It's a modern take on the classic underdog story, with a relatable and sympathetic protagonist in Feifei facing off against an incredibly formidable foe—Jean-Pierre. Jean-Pierre is a fictitious, world-famous designer who makes Miranda in The Devil Wears Prada look like a Girl Scout troop leader. Time and time again, Feifei rises to the challenge presented to her, only to be knocked back down by Jean-Pierre. It's only in the end that she realizes he was really rooting for her the entire way, in his own sadistic style, and that by mercilessly testing her resolve he was making sure that she had what it takes to truly live up to the standards required to succeed in their cutthroat business. She earns her salvation in the process, and we get to experience the dynamic and thrilling sights and sounds of the true Paris fashion world with her, through her eyes, all along the way.
